Website Deletion and Data Retention After Cancellation
When your website service is cancelled or terminated, your website will be removed from our active hosting environment in accordance with our cancellation and account-retention policies. Once removed, the website will no longer be publicly accessible and you will no longer have access to the website through our platform.
Retention of a Website Copy
After cancellation, we may retain a copy of your website and related data for a limited period of time. Any retained copy is maintained solely as a courtesy and may potentially allow us to restore your website if you return to our service.
Retention of a copy does not constitute a guarantee, commitment, or obligation to preserve your website or its data.
We do not guarantee that a copy of your website will be retained, that it will remain available for any particular period of time, or that it will be complete, functional, or compatible with our systems in the future.
Retained copies may be permanently deleted at any time in accordance with our data-retention practices, including without notice.
Returning to Our Service
If you return to our service after cancellation, you may contact us to determine whether a copy of your previous website remains available.
If a usable copy is available, we may, at our sole discretion, attempt to restore the website. Restoration is not guaranteed and may require additional configuration, updates, corrections, or other work before the website can be made operational.
A previously hosted website may also depend on third-party services, integrations, software, domains, licenses, or other resources that may no longer be available or supported. We cannot guarantee that these dependencies will remain functional or available after cancellation.
Request an Export Before Cancellation
Because we do not guarantee the retention or future restoration of a cancelled website, customers who wish to maintain a permanent copy of their website are encouraged to request a website export before their service is cancelled.
For information on requesting an export, see:
How to Request a Website Export
Customers are responsible for requesting and retaining their own copy of their website if they require long-term access to their website content or data.
No Guarantee of Recovery
Once your website and any retained copies have been permanently deleted, the website and associated data cannot be recovered by us.
We are not responsible for the loss of website content, data, configurations, files, or other information resulting from cancellation, termination, expiration of retention periods, deletion of retained copies, or the inability to restore a previously hosted website.
Do not rely on our retention of a cancelled website as your sole backup or archival solution.
